Tumiila!

Its been a while since I blogged and produced collections, and I apologise because it was like school work was taking over my life. But summer has begun and its gonna be a busy one so keep updated. A lot of new looks, styles, trends and a new collection is on the way! :D These are some edits I created in photoshop to advertise and promote my brand and return so please feel free to repost and promote if you like what you see. Honestly if your reading this, it already means so much and  I am soooo grateful for your interest and support :)

David Koma

One of my favourite designers is by far David Koma. His work is unusual and original, and just when you think its normal he throws in a splash of crazy. His designs come off quite futuristic and statement so he is defiantly on my best list. I think another really important thing is that although his designs are unique they are also wearable which is always a plus!

Africa Fashion Week

Wow! Its been ages since I've posted. One thing I realized is that I had not actually posted the pictures from Africa Fashion Week in August so this is a really late post :/ But yeah these are the outfits I showed, I actually opened the show for 2013 which was really amazing! The collection was called Monochain and it was created by me. Hope you like and please comment :)

GTBank Lagos Fashion and Design Week 2013 - Tumiila

Tumiila By Tumisola Ladega

So in August I travelled to Nigeria, for audition of the young designer of the year awards. I initially didn't think I got in because they didn't actually contact me till really late. Then half way through the master classes I received an email asking why I wasn't there so I was like OMG. So after all that I had to make a 12 piece collection some for the catwalk and some for the exhibition (i didnt sleep for like a week) , which for me was inspired by PLAY inc. All in all it was the best experience, I got to meet so many amazing designers, models and press! Like I still cant believe my clothes were on the same runway as Tiffany Amber, Tsemaye Binitie and Jewel by Lisa, its just incredible :D
In the end I didn't win the 4 million naira but still I am so gratfull for the experience :)
